GLOBALGIRL MEDIA
FILM
FESTIVAL

Our in-person festival day on 17 Sept was a wonderful warm, inclusive gathering of young women filmmakers and film-lovers of all backgrounds. Our speakers , led by Channel 4 News presenter Ayshah Tull and our GlobalGirl Media UK alumnae, our jury and our awards host Elle Osili-Wood, truly espoused our festival and our mission, to bring more underrepresented women’s voices to the screen.

But it's not over yet! There's still time to get your online pass to watch the Awards Ceremony, and all our 50 official selection and 15 GGM films.

ONLINE 17-24 SEPT 2023

IN PERSON at THE CINEMA MUSEUM, LONDON, 17 SEPT 2023

GlobalGirl Media UK  (GGM UK) helps to empower girls and young womxn*, especially those from underrepresented communities, through digital media training, to bring their voices to global platforms.  We give them the tools and confidence to make content from their own powerful perspectives – to change the imbalanced media landscape. We envision a world where young womxn from all walks of life drive social change, on issues they care about, using the power of their voices and the media. *women, including self-identifying and non-binary people

‘We are committed to turning up the volume of girls’ voices, putting girls both in front of and

behind the camera and at the centre of the story’

- Victoria Bridges, Founding Executive Director, GGM UK
